Annual Gathering for Young Europeans

The European Youth Day, held on June 28th, 202X at the Austrian Economic Chamber, was a significant event that brought together over a thousand students to discuss the future of education and work in Europe. This collaborative event, organised by the Austrian Economic Chamber, the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, the European Commission in Austria, the Austrian National Bank, and the 27 embassies in Austria, focused on the topics related to education and work in Europe.

One of the key discussions during the event was the topic of "Working in digital Europe - what expertise is needed?". Lukas Praml, CEO of our innovative high-security company, participated in an expert panel and spoke about the importance of digital ID systems in facilitating seamless, secure verification of identity for young people engaging in digital services or cross-border work within the EU.

Our website's digital ID system, MIA, attracted the interest of young people and participating ambassadors at the European Youth Day. MIA offers a future-oriented alternative to carrying ID documents, providing a user-friendly and privacy-preserving digital identification framework that enables secure online interactions. The system sets international standards for secure identity in the digital realm and aligns with ongoing European efforts such as the upcoming Entry/Exit System (EES) that modernizes border management digitally.

MIA supports digital inclusion and privacy, enabling youth to prove credentials or legal status (e.g., age or residence) without cumbersome paperwork. It also advances the digital single market by easing access to digital jobs, services, and governmental resources, thereby aligning with EU ambitions for a digital economy and workforce.

These initiatives emphasize user control and privacy, which are crucial for youth engagement in digital society. If MIA is a specific digital ID project or system, it may be a recent or emerging initiative related to these broader EU digital identity frameworks. Overall, the European Youth Day highlighted the importance of digital ID systems like MIA in empowering youth to navigate and work efficiently in the digital European landscape, enhancing trust, security, and mobility.
