Art students at Park University will display their final projects in a pair of exhibitions
Art Exhibit at Park University's Campanella Gallery Extended Through September
Park University's Campanella Gallery is set to host a pair of art exhibits from May 5, 2025, to September 19, 2025. Originally scheduled for an earlier summer period, the exhibits have been extended to provide a longer viewing opportunity for the public[1][4].
The first exhibit, running from May 5 to June 6, 2025, will showcase the works of Lucie Garrett, Rhiannon Lewis, and Danielle Smith. Garrett, a senior fine art major, combines ceramics, sculpture, and fiber to explore maximalism[2]. Lewis, a graduate of Liberty High School, Mo., creates colorful, bright works inspired by coy fish using fiber, ceramics, and other mediums[3]. Smith, an alumna of Hogan Prep Academy, explores fashion and textiles in her art[5].
A reception for the trio will be held on May 9, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery[6]. The second exhibit will run from June 16 to July 18, 2025[7].
In addition to these exhibits, the Campanella Gallery will also feature the works of Sofia McCroskie, a senior K-12 education/art major from Kansas City, Mo., who is a multimedia artist[8]. Cameron McMeekin, a senior fine art major from Springfield, Mo., will exhibit his nature-themed photography[9]. Cheri Regis, a senior digital marketing and fine art major from Parkville, Mo., will display her paintings, doll-making skills, and multidisciplinary art[10].
Regular business hours for the Campanella Gallery are as follows: May 5-9 - Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.[11]. From May 12 to July 18, the Gallery will be open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, closed[11]. The building will be closed on May 26 for the Memorial Day holiday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday, and July 4 for the Independence Day holiday[12].
A second reception for the artists will be held on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Gallery[13]. The exhibits are open to the public, providing an opportunity for art enthusiasts to appreciate the creativity and talent of these young artists.
