Baden-Württemberg's Deputy Minister Opens 'Never Forget' Exhibition on Violence Against Public Sector Workers
Baden-Württemberg's Deputy Minister President and Minister of Interior, Thomas Strobl, inaugurated an impactful exhibition on October 1, 2025. The exhibition, 'Never Forget, Someone Works Here', is a stark reminder of the escalating violence faced by public sector employees in the region. This is the first time the exhibition, initiated by ZDF and organized by DGB, is being displayed in Baden-Württemberg.
The exhibition, open until October 23, 2025, in Stuttgart, features 32 powerful motifs. These depict the harrowing experiences of public sector employees who have been victims of assaults. The display serves as a poignant reminder of the over 14,000 attacks on police officers, around 300 attacks on firefighters and rescue workers, and over 1,600 acts of violence against other public sector employees recorded in 2024.
The exhibition's purpose is clear: to raise awareness about the pressing issue of violence against these essential workers and advocate for improved protection and respect. Strobl, who opened the exhibition, emphasized the importance of acknowledging and addressing this growing concern.
The 'Never Forget, Someone Works Here' exhibition stands as a powerful testament to the resilience of public sector employees in Baden-Württemberg and a call to action for better protection and respect. It is on display in Stuttgart until October 23, 2025, inviting all to reflect on the importance of the issue and the workers who serve the community.
