Belarus' 'We are Belarusians' Project Leads Contest for Sixth School Day Enhancement

The IX Republican contest for the best project on organizing the sixth school day is nearing its end. The Ministry of Education is closely monitoring the project 'We are Belarusians', which aims to enhance educational potential and optimize teaching methods by the contest's conclusion.

The contest, set for November 15 and 16, will feature 21 creative projects, including three from each region. One notable project is 'Quest-Excursion: Travel Around Belarus - Educate a Patriot', which focuses on conducting quest-excursions and travels, and engaging parents and public organizations.

The project 'We are Belarusians' covers five diverse directions: family interaction, exploration of the Great Patriotic War, excursions, city tours, and delving into Belarusian culture. Each educational institution has its own model of educational work on the sixth school day. The contest hopes to improve the organization of work in general education and additional education institutions, opening new opportunities for parent-teacher communication and joint children's and parent's leisure.

The final stage of the contest will be followed by a roundtable discussion on 'Current Aspects of Improving the Organizational and Content Filling of the Sixth School Day'. The project hopes to implement innovations and solve pedagogical tasks by the end of the contest, enhancing the educational potential and optimizing forms and methods of education.
