An 18-year-old from Bihar, India, Adarsh Kumar, has made headlines by winning the prestigious Chegg.org Global Student Prize 2025. Born in 2007 in Champaran, Bihar, Kumar has overcome poverty and adversity to become a beacon of change for his community and peers.
Kumar's journey is one of resilience and determination. At the age of 14, he traveled alone from his poverty-stricken home to Kota, Rajasthan, to pursue his education. His dedication paid off when he won a full scholarship worth 30 lakh Rupees to the Jayshree Periwal International School.
At just 13 years old, Kumar launched Mission Badlao, a non-profit organization that has brought about real change in his community. His exceptional impact on learning, peers, and society has not gone unnoticed. Kumar was selected from nearly 11,000 nominations and applications from 148 countries to receive the $100,000 award.

Kumar plans to use the prize money to launch SkillzoX, an AI-powered mentorship platform, and the Ignite Fellowship.
