Citizens of Habarov triumphantly participate in a robotics tournament held in South Korea
The International Youth Robotics Competition (IYRC) took place this year, bringing together over 2000 students from 30 countries to engage in activities related to coding, robotics, AI, 3D modeling, and STEM innovation.
The competition, which is open to children and youth aged 5 to 17 years, is a significant event for educational robotics competitions worldwide. It is one of the largest international educational robotics competitions, offering a platform for young innovators to showcase their skills and creativity.
Competitors were divided into three age groups: children (under 8), juniors (8-13), and seniors (13-18). The Digital Technologies Center "Robotrek-Khabarovsk" based in Khabarovsk, Russia, achieved significant success in the competition. The centre won three categories and was runners-up in two others, demonstrating its commitment to fostering skills in key future technologies.
The IYRC aims to engage youth in weekly STEM sessions and training that prepare them for the challenges of the contest. The competition celebrates student victories and achievements, as highlighted by congratulatory posts for winning teams or individuals showing success in various robotics and STEM challenges.
Beyond the IYRC, the Digital Technologies Center "Robotrek-Khabarovsk" continues to make significant contributions to the field of technology and education in Khabarovsk, Russia. The centre is also involved in the development of a "smart" sports facility in Khabarovsk, located on Ussuriysk Boulevard. However, details about the specific sports the facility caters to and its completion status are yet to be announced.
The IYRC, with its global reach and focus on STEM education, provides an invaluable opportunity for young minds to explore, learn, and excel in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. For more detailed information, such as the exact participating countries or historical winners, visiting the official IYRC website or their official social media channels would be beneficial.
Technology played a crucial role in the IYRC, as competitors showcased their programming skills, invented innovative robots, and explored the realms of AI and 3D modeling. Meanwhile, the Digital Technologies Center "Robotrek-Khabarovsk" demonstrated its commitment to both technology and education by participating in the competition, winning numerous categories, and developing a "smart" sports facility in Khabarovsk, Russia, which caters to various sports.
