Collaborative Effort Between CISI and HKSI Institute to Enhance Ethical AI Competencies in Hong Kong's Financial Sector
The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI Institute) and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) have joined forces to launch a new programme focused on understanding the issues, challenges, and opportunities presented by the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in global financial services.
This collaborative effort aims to provide learners with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of AI in financial services. The programme, available on the HKSI Institute learning platform, offers three modules from the award-winning CISI Certificate in Ethical Artificial Intelligence.
The modules introduce AI and its development trends, explore professional codes of conduct, examine the technical, operational, and ethical risks of AI systems, and outline effective risk management strategies. The programme is expert-driven and has a global perspective, offering future-ready insights and practical approaches to address real-world challenges and advance professional standards.
The new programme is particularly timely, as concerns about issues such as bias, transparency, accountability, and safety are emerging as AI becomes more advanced and widely adopted. By offering these modules, the HKSI Institute seeks to enhance its learners' understanding of ethical issues when using AI.
Ruth Kung, HKSI Institute Chief Executive, expressed her pleasure at collaborating with CISI again to offer these timely modules. Tracy Vegro, OBE and CISI Chief Executive Officer, also expressed delight in supporting HKSI Institute's members in their AI learning.
The HKSI Institute is a professional membership organisation dedicated to advancing the financial services industry. It promotes, raises, and reinforces the highest standards through training, examinations, and member engagement. The CISI, on the other hand, offers qualifications and lifelong e-learning opportunities for professionals in global capital markets, financial planning, and wealth management.
The HKSI Institute's network of learners now has access to these valuable modules, furthering their knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving field of AI. The collaboration between the two institutions is set to provide a significant boost to the ethical AI learning available to professionals in the financial services industry.
