Headline: Variety of Wellness Workshops and Sessions Coming to Oberlin Conservatory

The Oberlin Conservatory is offering a diverse range of wellness workshops and sessions for students and musicians in the coming months. Here's a rundown of some upcoming events:

Elena Urioste and Melissa White to Host "Intermission Sessions"

In March, Elena Urioste and Melissa White will return to host "Intermission Sessions", a yoga programming focused on physical wellness for musicians. This event is designed to help musicians maintain their physical health and well-being, an essential aspect of their artistic journey.

Noa Kageyama's Sessions

Noa Kageyama, a licensed sport and performance psychologist, will be leading various sessions throughout the year. On February 26, he will offer "Performance Under Pressure: Part 1 - Beating Performance Anxiety". On the following days, February 27 and 28, he will offer Individual Sessions in Bibbins 334. In February 2025, he will lead in-person group and individual sessions with students.

On the same dates, Noa Kageyama will also present "Performance Under Pressure: Part 2 - Getting Into 'the Zone'".

Workshops with Rena Urso

Rena Urso, a Licensed Body Mapping Educator, RYT-200 certified yoga teacher, and certified meditation teacher, will offer two workshops on December 13. The Yoga I Workshop will take place from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Central 21, while the Yoga II Workshop will follow from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Bibbins 233, focusing on meditation and movement exploration through yoga.

Mindfulness Workshops with John Thomas Dodson

John Thomas Dodson, an orchestra conductor and mindfulness teacher, will lead three virtual mindfulness workshops in March 2021. These sessions will offer strategies to help access inner calm, take meaningful action, and connect to oneself and the world. The workshops will take place in Bibbins Hall 223 and 325.

JoAnn Lamolino's Offerings

JoAnn Lamolino, who runs the Mind, Music, Sanctuary program for musicians, will offer a Mindfulness/Meditation Workshop & Discussion on February 25. On the same days, she will also offer Individual Sessions for posture, mindfulness, and breathing. In February 2025, she will organise the "Heart & Soul: Holistic Approaches to Keeping the Heart Healthy" event at Oberlin Conservatory.

Kelly Mollnow Wilson's Body Mapping Sessions

Kelly Mollnow Wilson leads WELL-110: Intro to Body Mapping every semester, providing students with a fundamental understanding of body mapping and its applications in music.

Tara Woods' Heart & Soul Event

Tara Woods of Student Health & Wellbeing invites you for a Heart & Soul event on February 14. Details about this event are yet to be announced.
