Cool2School Project Expands for Next Year, Boosting School Bus Safety
The 'cool2school' project, which aids school bus safety, will continue into the next academic year. Last year, 37 students participated, and many more have signed up for the 2024/25 school year. The project is funded by the Dominik Brunner Foundation and organized by the Landshut Volunteer Agency.
The 'cool2school' project trains students to be school bus guides. They help maintain order at bus stops and on city buses, and assist in resolving conflicts. The guides receive training from the Traffic Safety Council and the police for their duties. At the end of the school year, they are thanked and receive a certificate, a small token of appreciation, and a shared lunch.
Interested students can contact their school or project coordinator Michaela Leicht for more information about joining the project.
The 'cool2school' project, funded by the Dominik Brunner Foundation, has seen increased interest from students. Many from six Landshut schools have signed up for the 2024/25 school year. The project aims to improve safety and order on school buses and at bus stops.
