"Cycling interpreted anew," or "New perspective on pedaling"

Andy McGrath, the award-winning journalist and author, is set to release his latest novel, Tadej Pogačar: Unstoppable, on November 6, 2025. This captivating biography delves into the personal and professional journey of the four-time Tour de France winner, Tadej Pogačar.

McGrath, a recipient of the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award, skillfully captures the intense demands of the sport and Pogačar’s exceptional career in cycling. The book offers an in-depth exploration of Pogačar’s development from a talented teenager to the Tour de France champion he is today.

The writing process for Tadej Pogačar: Unstoppable has been a long and challenging journey for McGrath. He began working on the book over a year and a half ago and has since revised over 50% of the original text. The author finds writing both challenging and exhausting, but the finish line is now within sight.

Meanwhile, Marike Paradis, the editorial director of Libre Expression, continues to work on McGrath's book covers out of friendship. Paradis, a renowned artist, has been designing the covers for McGrath's novels since his debut work, Kukum. For Tadej Pogačar: Unstoppable, Paradis will provide the final touches.

McGrath's novels are renowned for their personal and intimate nature, often reflecting the author's own thoughts and feelings. This new novel is no exception, as it follows the story of an Abenaki journalist covering the aftermath of the 2005 tsunami in Sri Lanka. Recent events, such as First Nations setting up barricades to protest the reform of the forest regime, have influenced the novel's development.

As McGrath prepares for the final stages of the writing process, often referred to as the "sprint," he emphasises the complete commitment writing demands. He notes that it takes him approximately two years to write less than 250 pages.

In a unique twist, McGrath draws parallels between writing a novel and the physical and emotional demands of cycling, particularly Tadej Pogačar’s Tour de France achievements. This connection adds an intriguing dimension to Tadej Pogačar: Unstoppable, making it a must-read for fans of both literature and sports.

This captivating biography by Andy McGrath, Tadej Pogačar: Unstoppable, set to release on November 6, 2025, is not only a thrilling exploration of Pogačar's cycling career but also delves into the realm of arts, as Marike Paradis, a renowned artist, design the book cover out of friendship. Furthermore, McGrath's latest novel surpasses sports and entertainment, offering insights into personal growth, lifestyle, education-and-self-development, and even touches on social and cultural issues, as seen in the Abenaki journalist's story in the novel.
