DFH Launches New €2,000 Dissertation Prize With Ellipse Avocats Lyon

The Deutsch-Französische Hochschule (DFH) has secured a new premium sponsor, teaming up with Ellipse Avocats Lyon. This collaboration will see the launch of the Dissertation Prize of Solidarity, endowed with 2,000€.

Ellipse Avocats, an internationally active law firm based in France, will support the prize. The firm advises companies and institutions across various legal areas. The Solidarity Prize complements existing DFH dissertation prizes, such as the 'Europe', 'Innovation', 'Interculturality', and 'Economy' prizes. It aims to honor dissertations that tackle socially relevant topics, fostering close cooperation between Germany and France.

The DFH's Vice-President, Philippe Gréçiano, and lawyer Benoît Dumollard, partner of Ellipse Avocats, signed the official cooperation agreement on March 21, 2023. The Lyon branch of Ellipse Avocats, founded in 2011, specializes in labor and sports law.

The DFH's new partnership with Ellipse Avocats Lyon will enhance the recognition of dissertations that promote social relevance and Franco-German cooperation. The 2,000€ endowed Solidarity Prize will encourage more scholars to explore these important themes.
