Dubai Municipality Introduces 'Future Talents' Initiative for 2-Hundred Scholars
Dubai Municipality has expanded its 'Future Talents' programme to include high school students for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the initiative's mission to prepare a future-ready generation capable of contributing to national development.
Launched in 2025, the expanded programme now welcomes students in Grades 11 and 12, in addition to university and college students. The initiative aims to train a total of 200 students this year, equipping them with essential skills for the future labour market across various administrative, technical, and field disciplines.
The 'Future Talents' programme offers a four-week summer training experience, with students placed in different Dubai Municipality departments aligned with their academic specializations. The programme runs eight hours per day and combines theoretical learning with practical application, helping students gain real-world insight and develop core competencies such as communication, teamwork, and punctuality.
The initiative reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to broadening opportunities for youth development at an earlier educational stage. Last year, the programme successfully trained 60 university and college students, and the expansion is a testament to the organisation's ongoing efforts to attract and develop national talent.
In addition to building technical knowledge, the 'Future Talents' programme focuses on sharpening core competencies such as communication, teamwork, and punctuality. It also helps students build personal and professional networks to support their career progression.
