The College of the Holy Cross has taken significant steps to demystify its endowment and foster transparency with the recently launched Ignite site. The site, which began in January 2021 and will continue until June 2022, aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the endowment, including FAQs, explanations of terms, and a video of a town hall with investment partners.

The Ignite site is accessible for logging in and sharing, offering options to do so on various platforms, including X, Facebook, email, and print. It features an image courtesy of College of the Holy Cross and includes a print option.

The Hope + Access campaign, a philanthropic effort to enable all admitted students to attend the College of the Holy Cross, is a key part of the College's ongoing conversation about the endowment and shared priorities. The campaign aims to raise $40 million for need-based financial aid.

The College's endowment plays a crucial role in funding priorities such as hiring faculty members, supporting student scholarships, and funding academic programs. The recent announcement that Holy Cross will cover tuition for students whose families earn less than $100,000 was made possible by the strong performance of the endowment investments.

However, there has been some discussion and confusion about the College's endowment. To address this, Daniel P. Ricciardi '06, AVP, Investments and Institutional Resources, and Assistant Treasurer at the College, may have developed an informative platform or resource about the college's endowment, possibly named "Ignite." While there is no direct search results or publicly available official references confirming this, it is plausible that he could have created such a site.

In other news, President Rougeau met with the editors-in-chief on Thursday, November 14th for a final interview of the semester, during which he discussed the College's endowment, recent news surrounding the College, and the upcoming holiday. The article in "Sports" titled "Massachusetts Online Sports Betting Proves Fatal for Holy Cross Endowment Fund" suggests that President Rougeau found some surefire winners in the NCAA basketball bracket. This article, written by Patrick Grudberg '24, was published in the College Basketball section.
