Education Students at the University of Wyoming to Conduct Visits in Local Classrooms in Wyoming

The University of Wyoming College of Education is set to host the Wyoming Classroom Connections Tour on Sept. 17-18, mornings only. This tour, sponsored by the Wyoming School-University Partnership, UW College of Education, Carbon County School Districts 1 and 2, aims to provide a deeper understanding of Wyoming's public education landscape.

The tour is beneficial for faculty, staff, and students of the University of Wyoming College of Education. It includes school facility tours, visits to innovative spaces, classroom observation sessions, and discussions with school leaders. Students will have the opportunity to meet with experienced educators and gain insights into effective teaching practices, challenges in the field, and the unique qualities of each Wyoming school and community.

Nicholas Jesse, Project Coordinator, encourages participation in the tour. He believes that this event will cultivate deeper connections to Wyoming and its public education. Faculty and staff members from UW and the partnership will accompany the tour group, providing valuable guidance and perspective throughout the tour.

The tour focuses on district priorities, teacher support programs, and future job opportunities. Discussions with educators will cover these topics, offering valuable insights for those considering a career in education or seeking to improve their current practices.
