SRMIST Induction Ceremony Welcomes New Students for 2025-2026
The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has welcomed the incoming batch of students for the academic year 2025-2026 with a series of induction ceremonies across its various faculties. The event, held with great fanfare, emphasised collaboration, connection, and growth.
Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, warmly welcomed the new students and underscored the importance of their journey at the university. He encouraged them to seize the opportunities that lay ahead and make the most of their time at SRMIST.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology held its induction ceremony on August 2, 2025, presided over by Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Founder Chancellor. He encouraged students to view their education at SRMIST as a transformative lifetime experience, stressing the importance of hard work, seriousness, and seizing available opportunities to shape their futures.
On July 10, 2025, the Faculty of Science and Humanities welcomed over 2,600 undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Dr. T. P. Ganesan Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. Fernandez, Commandant of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, motivated students to embrace discipline, resilience, and service. Dr. A. Duraisamy, Dean of FSH, highlighted the faculty’s interdisciplinary programs and career-focused education across 33 undergraduate and 23 postgraduate courses spanning diverse fields such as Computer Science, Media Studies, Biotechnology, Commerce, and Fashion Designing.
The College of Nursing welcomed its new batch on August 1, 2025, with an inauguration event led by senior faculty, focusing on fostering future nurses at SRM Medical College.

Paarivendhar also encouraged students to embrace the transformative journey of education at SRM and reminded them of their role in shaping their own futures.
