Ex-Bundesliga Star Uli Borowka Shares Addiction Journey at Lingen Event
A significant event is set to take place in Lingen, organized by a collaborative effort from the Police Station Emsland/Grafschaft Bentheim, the city of Lingen, Diakonisches Werk, Caritas Association Emsland, and the district of Emsland. Former Bundesliga player Uli Borowka will share his personal journey with alcohol addiction at the Theater an der Wilhelmshöhe on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 7:30 PM to approximately 9:30 PM.
The event, titled 'Prevention in Action', aims to shed light on the dangers of alcohol consumption, particularly for young people. Borowka, who is also the chairman of the association 'Uli Borowka - Drug Prevention and Drug Aid e.V.', will deliver a lecture focused on providing valuable insights and impulses for reflection, especially regarding the potential endangerment of one's children by alcohol. The event seeks to empower attendees with knowledge and tools to prevent alcohol consumption from spiraling into addiction.
