Get ready for an explosive return of the Performance + Production Hub at Prolight + Sound from April 25-28, 2023, following its smashing debut last year! This magnate for DJs, female producers, and musicians will be even more extravagant this time around, with a meticulous redesign and expansion in store. Joining forces with the makers of the Sample Music Festival and top dogs in the audio industry, an elaborate Experience Zone will emerge within the Portalhaus, offering a chance to test cutting-edge sound tools, witness international artist showcases, and participate in high-level workshops. The PRO MUSIK association steps in as a new partner, broadening the Performance + Production Hub's horizons to encompass topics like acoustic music, band performances, and the harmony of analogue and digital sound worlds.

Prolight + Sound Reinvented

For the duration of the fair, the 800-square-meter area will serve as a playground for showcasing the latest tech innovations in DJing, production, and more, alongside a sweeping market overview. Insight into brand-new products from broadcasting specialists will also be available to visitors. The concept marries product experience, knowledge transfer, and entertainment to deliver a holistic experience, with a sneak peek of the overall Prolight + Sound experience set to materialize at the Radisson Blu Frankfurt, conveniently situated near the fairgrounds.

PRO MUSIK takes the Stage in the Performance + Production Hub

2023 will see the Action Stage debut in the Performance + Production Hub, organized by PRO MUSIK - Verband freier Musikschaffenden e.V. Here, you’ll find yourself in the midst of insightful discussions with professional female musicians, learn about career paths, and watch performances, interviews, and lectures. For the first time, there will also be performances on the Live Sound Arena on the open-air site. Notable artists include Mrs. Greenbird, Marvin Scondo & The Highcuts, Lui Hill, Christina Lux, and Markus Vollmer.

While we await official details about the 2023 Performance + Production Hub, past practices at Prolight + Sound suggest an assortment of presentation and program formats in the audio segment.
