The San Diego International Airport has a new addition to its amenities, with the recent opening of the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. Located in Terminal 2 West between gates 46 and 47, the lounge offers a variety of facilities for travelers seeking a comfortable and luxurious pre-flight experience.

The lounge's design is unmistakably Southern Californian, with colorful artwork, wood flooring, and slatted room dividers that mimic the rest of the Sapphire Lounge network. The lounge's focal artwork is a colorful surfboard-lined mural that perfectly fits San Diego and establishes a sense of place for travelers passing through SAN.

The lounge is open daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., and primary and authorized cardmembers with the Chase Sapphire Reserve® can enter the lounge for free, and they can bring up to two guests. Additional guests beyond the initial allotment will be charged at $27 per person.

The lounge offers a wellness area with four private relaxation pods and digital meditations by Devi Brown. There is also a small facial bar with treatments from Face Haus located near the wellness area. For those who want to unwind, the lounge features a relaxation area with a faux fireplace, and for the productive traveler, productivity pods built directly into the wall are available.

The lounge has a nursing room available on a first-come, first-served basis, and for younger travelers, a family room filled with toys, games, and books is available. The men's bathroom features three stalls, two urinals, a beautiful hand-washing area accented with gold sconces, and fantastic views of the tarmac and departing aircraft.

To reserve a facial, a wellness pod, or the shower, you'll need to scan one of the QR codes displayed on each of the tables. The lounge also has a large wraparound bar, several dining areas, relaxation rooms, productivity pods, and a phone booth. The lounge's layout includes a California-inspired home library-style room named the "Balboa breezeway."

The lounge's shower uses Apotheke products, and the best credit cards for airport lounge access in the U.S. in 2025 offer a variety of options depending on your travel preferences, airline loyalty, and whether you want wide global access or airline-specific lounges.
