Fraudster Finally Arrested After Years of Evasion
A suspect, who had been evading authorities, was finally apprehended in Rhineland-Palatinate on 25th September 2025. The arrest came after a police officer recognized the individual from an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Heidelberg. The suspect had a history of fraud and forgery, including using forged documents to secure employment and loans.
The suspect's criminal activities date back to 2021 when they gained access to a referral process using forged university degrees. In late 2023, they were convicted of forgery. Despite these convictions, the suspect managed to secure a teaching position at a private school in Heidelberg from 2021 to 2024, earning over 143,000 euros. They were dismissed after allegations of forging sick notes and embezzling funds surfaced.
Undeterred, the suspect moved to Saarland in January 2025 and secured another teaching position at a private school using forged credentials. They earned over 7,000 euros before being dismissed in April 2025. Meanwhile, in October 2024, the Public Prosecutor's Office Heidelberg received a criminal complaint from Targobank AG. The suspect had attempted to obtain a loan of over 25,000 euros using forged pay stubs.
The suspect's history of delinquent activity and the risk of them fleeing led the Public Prosecutor's Office to apply for and obtain an arrest warrant on 19th September 2025. The warrant included a property arrest of 150,000 euros. Investigations are ongoing to determine the suspect's assets and any further offenses committed in the local area.
The suspect's arrest in Rhineland-Palatinate brings an end to their evasion of justice. Their history of fraud and forgery, including securing employment and loans using forged documents, has resulted in significant financial gains. Investigations continue to uncover the full extent of their criminal activities and to recover any assets obtained through illegal means.
