GCU Students and Alumni Dominate AZ Inno Under 25 List
Grand Canyon University (GCU) students and alumni have been making waves in the entrepreneurial scene. Almost half of the 2025 AZ Inno Under 25 list is made up of GCU students and alumni, showcasing the university's commitment to fostering innovation and business growth.
GCU's startup business accelerator, Canyon Ventures, directed by Robert Vera, houses successful ventures like Aluee Hair Care and the Vox Company. RaSean McMiller, a senior entrepreneurial studies major, co-founded Aluee Hair Care, which sold over 2,500 units and generated over $65,000 in sales after McMiller transferred to GCU from Sauk Valley Community College. McMiller was later honoured for his work with the company.
Suman Dangol and Kevin Vega, co-owners of the Vox Company, produced the Vox Box, the world's first AI-powered business consultant in a box. They won the $5,000 AZ Venture of the Year Award at GCU's Demo Day and represented GCU at the Hult Prize 2025 USA National Competition.
GCU's impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem is evident in the success of its students and alumni. The university's support, through initiatives like Canyon Ventures, has helped launch innovative businesses and foster a new generation of entrepreneurs.
