Hesse Launches 'Young Ideas' Fund for Youth-Driven Community Projects

The Hessian Ministry of Labor, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs is introducing a novel fund this year, 'Young Ideas', specifically designed for children and young people to initiate projects that drive positive change in their communities. Angela Dorn, the Hessian Minister for Science and the Arts, is spearheading this initiative.

The fund, with a total budget of 14,000 euros for the year 2025, will provide flat-rate subsidies of up to 1,000 euros per project. Groups of two to three children and young people can apply, partnering with suitable sponsors such as support associations, youth associations, or municipalities to bring their ideas to life.

The fund encourages young people to actively participate in shaping their living environment, fostering a vibrant democracy and an inclusive society. It aims to support their engagement and strengthen their role in societal processes. By taking responsibility for their community, young people can raise their voice and strengthen social cohesion through neighborhood actions, beautification measures, or events and workshops on topics like children's rights.

The 'Young Ideas' fund, launched by Angela Dorn, offers a unique opportunity for children and young people in Hesse to make a difference. With a total budget of 14,000 euros and subsidies of up to 1,000 euros per project, the fund encourages young people to engage, participate, and take responsibility for their community, ultimately fostering a more vibrant and inclusive society.
