Industry and Academia Connect at VELS HR Conclave 2025, Shaping the Workforce for the Future
The Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), a member of the Vels Group of Institutions, recently hosted the HR Conclave 2025. The event, themed "Campus to Corporate: Preparing the Next Generation Workforce," aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry to shape the workforce of tomorrow.
Held at VISTAS, Chennai, the conclave gathered top HR leaders and industry experts to discuss strategies for effectively transitioning students from educational settings into corporate environments. The panel discussions revolved around the role of skill development in areas such as artificial intelligence, automation, Six Sigma, and data-driven technologies.
Dr. Preethaa Ganesh, Vice President of the VELS Group of Institutions, inaugurated the VELS HR Conclave 2025. She emphasized the importance of future-ready education, industry-aligned curriculum, and employability skills. A major highlight of the event was a panel discussion on skill development, moderated by Mr. Charles Godwin from Zoho Corporation.
