Kamchatka Launches Digital Literacy Project for Kids
A nationwide digital literacy project has kicked off in Kamchatka, Russia. The Ministry of Digital Development, Education and Science, along with ANO 'Digital Economy', has launched the initiative, which is supported by leading IT companies like Avito and Kaspersky Lab. The project aims to teach children aged six and above about safe internet usage and digital skills.
The 'Digital Literacy' project offers engaging video lessons and methodological materials on the platform digital-literacy.ru. These resources will be available until February 2, 2023. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including safe internet browsing, online shopping, and finding part-time jobs. The lessons are designed to be interactive and fun, using game-based formats to keep students engaged.
The project is led by Tatiana Vladimirovna Isaeva and Evgeny Nikolayevich Rudenko, the heads of ANO 'Digital Economy'. Their involvement ensures the project's success and impact on the region's youth.
