These new ambassadors bring a wealth of experience and expertise, having demonstrated exceptional commitment to LUH during their time at the university.

Dr. Volker Müller, with a background in legal and social science perspectives, economic policy practice, and a former managing director of the entrepreneurs' associations of Lower Saxony (UVN), takes on the role of the chairman of the Leibniz University Society Hannover e.V. Dr. Bala Subramanian Ramani, currently the head of skilled worker recruitment at Niedersachsen.next in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport and Building, focuses on the internationalization of higher education and intercultural scientific cooperation. His strategic positioning and global network make him an important intermediary in academic exchange, pioneering the development of transnational educational formats.

Dr. h. c. Edelgard Bulmahn, a graduate of the teaching degree program in political science and English at Leibniz University Hannover, has a political career that includes serving as Federal Minister of Education and Research and Vice President of the German Bundestag. Her extensive experience in education and politics will undoubtedly benefit LUH's representation and mentorship roles.

Vito Cecere, who studied history and political science at the University of Hannover and graduated with a Magister Artium degree, is another of the newly appointed Leibniz Ambassadors. Currently the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Austria, his deep-rooted connection to LUH will help in promoting the university's values and visions as a place of excellent research and teaching.

Leibniz Ambassadors are selected based on their former affiliation with LUH, exceptional engagement with the university, and strategic positioning in key areas such as companies, politics, culture, universities, and non-university research institutions. They use their professional and private networks to benefit LUH, playing a key bridging role.

As mentors, Leibniz Ambassadors provide information about degree programs and research opportunities at LUH, as well as career development opportunities. They also represent LUH within their specific communities, helping to promote its values and visions as a place of excellent research and teaching nationally and internationally.
