List employment opportunities: job postings or internships available
Oberlin College offers a unique opportunity for alumni to share their Winter Term internships with current students, providing a valuable learning experience for the next generation of leaders.
There are three ways to share these opportunities: creating an account on OberLink, an alumni and student networking platform, creating an employer account on Handshake, a web-based career management system, or sending an email directly to Oberlin's Career Exploration and Development (CED).
By submitting positions to CED, they can market your opportunity to students through their online recruiting system, Handshake. Creating an account on Handshake or OberLink will allow you to post your current position and additional positions in the future.
After sending an email to CED about the position, you will be contacted within three business days to confirm receipt of your posting. When emailing CED about a Winter Term internship, it should be indicated that the sender is an Oberlin College alum.
If you choose to post on Handshake, your internship will go through a vetting and approval process by the campus employer relations liaison who helps approve job and internship postings on Handshake. You should contact Oberlin's Employer Relations Liaison to submit your internship details for review and approval on Handshake.
In addition to Handshake, Oberlin’s job posting and internship opportunities might also be shared on platforms such as Big Red Jobs, which lists a variety of jobs and internships related to Oberlin students and alumni.
Oberlin College's Career Exploration and Development welcomes internship and entry-level job leads from alumni and parents. Many Oberlin College alumni offer Winter Term internships in addition to summer internships, making it an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a wide range of fields.
The Winter Term internships are typically offered during the month of January and are part of Oberlin College's Winter Term program. By sharing your Winter Term internship opportunity, you are contributing to the success and growth of Oberlin students and helping to build a strong network of alumni support.
