Lucas Elam Named Edgeworth Program Coordinator; Campbell County Fiscal Court Approves Promotions, Rejects Bids

Brian Dehner, the City Administrative Officer, has announced Lucas Elam as the new Program Coordinator for Edgeworth. Elam has been working with the city since last October.

In Campbell County, the fiscal court has taken several actions. Firstly, they rejected all bids for the AJ Jolly asphalt paving due to significant budget overruns. Secondly, they approved the promotion of Police Officer Paul Wagner to Police Officer 3. Additionally, they accepted a bid from Rudd Equipment for a long reach excavator, costing $323,294. Looking ahead, the county fiscal court has agreed to put the AJ Jolly Golf Course Irrigation system Interconnect out to bid.

Meanwhile, in Florence, city council members are inviting the public to a hearing on April 15 at 6:45 pm. The topic is regulations for solar energy systems and battery storage facilities. The city is also considering a text amendment for a property at Foltz and Barnwood. A non-profit organisation is interested in purchasing the 7,000 square foot building located there.
