"Manifestations of Anxiety" or "Different Forms of Fear Appearances"
Cœur de pirate, the beloved French-Canadian singer-songwriter, is set to reconnect with her fans who may have lost touch with her music. The artist, whose real name is Béatrice Martin, has announced an extensive tour for her latest album, Cavale, starting from Montreal on November 6, 2025.
The tour will take Cœur de pirate across North America and Europe, with the first international concert scheduled for November 13, 2025, at The Concert Hall in Toronto, Canada. The tour will continue into 2026, with shows in Rennes, France, starting March 21, 2026, and in Brossard, Canada, on April 18, 2026.
Cavale, Cœur de pirate's current album, is her last one with the aim of radio success. This ten-song collection, released in 2025, deals with her fears, universal and personal, and features songs like Laisse-moi pleurer, Un autre regret, Pensées intrusives, and Instants volés. The album also includes a poignant track, Château de sable, which speaks to parents watching their children become teens.
The show for Cavale will be more theatrical with real staging, a departure from her previous performances. Cœur de pirate has collaborated with Gab Bouchard, a musician from Jeannois, to address her anxiety about living in a public profession. The album, which has a retro feel reminiscent of the 1980s, was influenced by the work of Frenchman Nicolas Subréchicot and the synthesizer sound from the film 'The NeverEnding Story'.
After the extensive tour for Cavale, Cœur de pirate plans to create music that pleases her personally. She faced a lack of inspiration after giving birth and reviving her record label, Dare to Care, but is now ready to dive back into her music.
Cœur de pirate's music plays a significant role in the finances of her record label, Bravo musique. Despite this, she is financially independent and can live off her past work. However, she expressed doubts about her relevance in the current context and was heartened by a meeting with a doctor who told her he listened to her music in high school.
Cœur de pirate's previous album, Impossible à aimer, was released in 2021. The tour for Cavale will include several cities in Quebec, Ontario, and Moncton, followed by several weeks in Europe. This tour is a testament to Cœur de pirate's enduring appeal and her commitment to connecting with her fans.
