Marvell Tech Opens 3 New Offices in Vietnam, Boosts R&D with Cutting-Edge Lab
Marvell Technology, Inc. has expanded its presence in Vietnam with the opening of three new news offices, including a cutting-edge R&D lab in Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Binh Ward. The inauguration was attended by HCM City's Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, Nguyen Van Duc, who praised Marvell's investment in the semiconductor and high-tech industry.
The new R&D lab in HCM City is equipped with advanced validation tools for testing semiconductor chips, reflecting Marvell's commitment to innovation. The lab is part of Marvell Vietnam's growth, which began in 2013 with just five engineers and has since grown to over 500, making it the third-largest Marvell R&D center after the US and India.
Marvell's expansion includes new news offices in HCM City and Da Nang, which are expected to support the company's growing engineering workforce and commitment to innovation. The company offers a collaboration model that combines international potential with domestic capacity to create sustainable values in HCM City.
Marvell Vietnam is also committed to training the next generation of semiconductor talent. It collaborates with Vietnamese universities and the government to provide scholarship programs, internships, and curriculum editing. In April, Marvell and the HCM City University of Technology signed a memorandum of understanding to amend curricula and build a laboratory to meet the semiconductor industry's requirements.
The inauguration of Marvell's new news offices in Vietnam, attended by HCM City's top official, signals the company's confidence in the country's semiconductor industry. With advanced R&D facilities and a commitment to training local talent, Marvell is well-positioned to contribute to Vietnam's high-tech sector.
