"ME-19 cohort bids adieu at CUET"
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) bid a heartfelt farewell to its ME-19 batch on August 3, 2025, at the IT Business Incubator auditorium. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Kamal Bhuiyan, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Professor Dr Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, the Vice-Chancellor of CUET, served as the chief guest at the event. Alongside him, Professor Dr Kazi Afzalur Rahman, the Dean of Mechanical and Manufacturing, was also a special guest. The ceremony was moderated by Ahad Bin Azad and Saima Islam Saba from the 20th batch.
During the ceremony, Saurav Dev, Mahbuba Laila Proma, and Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, representing the ME-19 batch, shared their reflections and memories from their time at CUET. The gathering was also addressed by several esteemed professors, including Professor Dr Badius Salam, Professor Dr Sajal Chandra Banik, Professor Dr Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Professor Dr Sanaul Rabbi, Professor Dr Prosanjit Das, Professor Dr Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem, Professor Dr Mamunur Rashid, and Professor Dr Tilak Kumar Das.
Professor Dr Mahbubul Alam, the Director of Student Welfare, was another special guest at the ceremony. The event was a poignant occasion, marking the end of an era for the ME-19 batch as they prepared to graduate and embark on new journeys.
