Park University Offers Tuition Waiver for Active Duty Service Members

Park University, a well-known institution that serves over 16,000 students annually, has announced a new initiative to support active duty service members, guards, and reservists. The Missouri-based university, which has a long-standing relationship with the U.S. military, is waiving the tuition of one class (up to three credit hours) for these individuals enrolled for the Fall semester or Fall I term.

This waiver applies after tuition assistance, GI Bill benefits, and federal student aid benefits have been exhausted, providing additional assistance to those affected by restrictions on federal tuition assistance. It's important to note that Park University does not offer tuition waivers for more than three credit hours for active duty service members during the Fall semester or Fall I term.

Park University's commitment to supporting military students extends beyond this waiver. Since 2009, the university has received international recognition as a top military-friendly college/university and a "Best for Vets" private college/university in the country.

For new military students, Park University is also waiving the admission fee. Those interested can enroll online at military.our website or call the Office of Admissions at (888) 319-9522.

For detailed information on how Park University supports active duty service members with tuition assistance restrictions, it would be best to contact Sarah Weygand, director of military and veteran student services, at sweygand@our website or the Park Global Warrior Center at warriorcenter@our website.

It's worth mentioning that Park University offers financial aid services, including what used to be known as "Book Vouchers," now referred to as "First Day Access to Books," which can help students manage the cost of textbooks.

In the past, Park University has provided emergency scholarships to active duty military students in times of need, such as during the federal government's sequestration in 2013 and the U.S. Coast Guard shutdown earlier this year.

Park University has been supporting U.S. military service members since 1918. For more information about Park University and its military support services, visit their official website.

Education and self-development opportunities are prioritized at Park University, as they offer a tuition waiver for active duty service members, guards, and reservists, extending beyond the federal tuition assistance limits. This waiver, coupled with the university's recognition as a top military-friendly college, demonstrates Park University's commitment to education-and-self-development for military personnel.
