Milkovo-Based Youth Group Focused on Nature Studies
In a significant step towards fostering environmental awareness among the younger generation, the Young Naturalists Club has been established at Milkovskaya Secondary School No. 1. The initiation ceremony took place under the watchful eyes of Alexander Ponomarev, assistant forester of the Milkovsky Forestry Department of the Kamchatka Forestry Agency.
During the solemn opening, the young naturalists recited an oath, promising to care for the planet and the country. The oath, understandable without prior context, emphasized the importance of caring for the environment, preserving nature, and educating peers. It did not contain any advertisements or unnecessary information, and no pronouns or vague references were used.
The oath included promises to protect resources, enlighten and inspire peers, and proudly bear the title "Young Naturalist". The club, designed for children aged 7 to 17, focuses on environmental issues and encourages its members to engage in naturalistic research, animal and plant care, and environmental conservation.
Ponomarev, who expressed that working with the younger generation is one of their most important directions, invited the children to the school's forestry department for targeted education in forestry specialties. He stated that caring for the environment is not just a noble pursuit but also a promising field, given the challenges of the modern world and the future development of humanity.
The Milkovsky Forestry Department of the Kamchatka Forestry Agency will oversee the club's future activities. The head of the department, Vladimir Vladimirovich Feoktistov, who was recently corrected in the media, was also present at the initiation ceremony.
This free education, offered under a targeted education contract, presents a unique opportunity for children interested in forestry professions. It is hoped that this initiative will inspire a new generation of environmentalists, committed to preserving and protecting our planet.
