New Collaboration Pact Signed Between UrGEU and Ekaterinburg School

**Ural State University of Economics and School No. 48 Strengthen Partnership**

A new agreement between the Ural State University of Economics (UrGEU) and School No. 48 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, will see schoolchildren attending lectures and events at the university, offering them a unique opportunity to gain insights into higher education and career development.

The agreement, which has been in the making for 17 years, was officially signed by the Rector of Ural State University of Economics, Yakov Silin, and Director of School No. 48, Larisa Pichugina. According to the university press service, the cooperation agreement aims to be interesting, promising, and productive.

Under the terms of the agreement, schoolchildren will participate in key events and attend lectures at UrGEU, with a focus on economics. They will also master the subject "Python Programming" for 90 hours at the university. The cooperation extends beyond academics, with schoolchildren set to participate in business, sports, and festive events at the university.

Larisa Pichugina expressed her satisfaction with the partnership, stating that it has yielded good results, with many graduates studying and working at the university. She believes that UrGEU provides high-quality higher education, which helps people find themselves and their calling. Yakov Silin echoed these sentiments, stating that the university's goal is to help ensure a successful future for students.

The partnership between UrGEU and School No. 48 is not limited to academic collaboration. It could involve the development of joint educational programs, mentorship opportunities, resource sharing, internships, research projects, and community engagement initiatives. These initiatives are designed to enrich the educational experience for schoolchildren and provide them with valuable skills and networking opportunities.

By immersing themselves in university life at UrGEU, schoolchildren will gain early exposure to higher education settings and the opportunities available. They will receive direct mentorship and career guidance, which can help them make informed decisions about their future educational and professional paths. Participating in workshops and projects can enhance skills in areas such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving. Building relationships with university students and professionals can lead to valuable connections that may aid in future academic or job opportunities.

The new cooperation agreement between UrGEU and School No. 48 will be in effect from September 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026. This long-term cooperation between the two institutions has yielded good results, and it is pleasing to see the partnership bearing fruit. The Ministry of Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Ural Institute of Management have also signed a cooperation agreement, as previously reported by "Obstaya Gazeta". This suggests a broader movement towards collaboration and knowledge sharing among educational institutions in the region.

This unique partnership between Ural State University of Economics (UrGEU) and School No. 48 offers schoolchildren an opportunity for education-and-self-development, as they gain insights into higher education and career development through lectures and events focusing on personal-growth areas like economics and Python Programming. The agreement also aims to enrich the educational experience for schoolchildren, providing them with valuable skills and networking opportunities through collaborative initiatives, such as internships, research projects, and community engagement.
