The theoretical parts of the training in the higher service are completed at the Federal Administration Academy in Münster. Here, future customs officers gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and administrative aspects of their future roles.

Dual Study Program at the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt

The dual study program at the Main Customs Office Schweinfurt concludes with the academic degree "Bachelor of Laws". This unique combination of practical and theoretical training equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the customs service.

Middle and Higher Customs Service Training Opportunities

The Main Customs Office Schweinfurt is offering a two-year training course in the middle service and a three-year bachelor's degree in the higher service. The training in the middle service qualifies for the professional title of "financial administrator".

The theoretical training in the middle service takes place at the customs' own training center in Erfurt. Trainees spend their practical phases in various departments of the training customs office and at nearby customs offices.

Upon completing the dual study program or training, the young customs officers can expect to be deployed in a wide range of customs tasks. Nationwide, 1,700 young people started their training in the middle service or their studies in the higher service with customs on September 1.
