Hey there! Get ready for a change, as the Republic of Adygea gears up for a nationwide social campaign! On June 25, the "Promotion of Safety" campaign will launch at the Republican Center for Additional Education of Children, aiming to cut down on pedestrian road accidents and instill safe road behavior.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has designed this campaign to address growing safety concerns. This campaign is a crucial component of the federal project "Road Safety" under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," with the objective of boosting awareness and legal consciousness among all road users.

With over 34,000 pedestrian-related road accidents recorded in Russia last year, the need for action is evident. Pedestrians were at fault in a third of these incidents, and the campaign aims to modify this trend. Nationally, pedestrian accidents account for 23.1% of all road accidents, with 97 incidents reported in Adygea alone last year.

The press conference will center on implementing comprehensive strategies to tackle pedestrian safety issues in the region. Speakers will discuss target audiences, interaction tools with road users, and the social campaign program.

Speakers:

  • Hizir Khotko, Adygea's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers;
  • Evgeny Lebedev, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Adygea;
  • Murat Bzegezhev, Head of the Organizational and Analytical Work and Road Safety Propaganda Department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Adygea;
  • Kazbek Kodzhesau, Head of the Center for Regional Management of the Republic of Adygea;
  • Yaroslav Kostitsyn, Expert of the "Social Campaign" project.

The event will be moderated by Dmitry Mikheev, a distinguished journalist recognized as an Honored Journalist of the Krasnodar Territory.

Venue & Time: Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 11:00 AM, Maykop city, ul. Krestyanskaya, 238, Republican Center for Additional Education of Children.

The campaign employs a comprehensive approach, focusing on awareness, enforcement, infrastructure improvements, community engagement, and data analysis, making it a well-rounded strategy for road safety enhancement.
