Online Platform Flooded with Children: MatataLab, a burgeoning digital hub, witnessing an influx of young Internet users.

On September 16th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the city library Paderborn is hosting a special event called "Digital Kids - MatataLab". This event is part of the ongoing "Digital Kids" series and is designed to introduce children aged 5 and above to the exciting world of programming.

The highlight of the event is the MatataLab Coding Set, an educational kit that uses a small, programmable robot to make learning coding fun and accessible. The robot, often known as the VinciBot or Talebot Pro, comes with programmable modules, sensors, motors, and building bricks, allowing children to explore STEM concepts through coding, robotics, and creative play.

Key features of the MatataLab robot and kit include an expandable electronic module system with sensors and actuators, compatibility with building blocks for custom designs, multiple preset modes like line-following and remote control, and a screen-free, hands-on programming approach using visual commands or block-based coding.

During the event, children will have the opportunity to learn programming by interacting directly with the MatataLab robot and its coding set. Through guided workshops or activities, they will program the robot to perform various tasks, developing a foundational understanding of coding concepts and computational thinking.

For those interested in attending, registration is required in advance. For questions or further information, you can contact the organisers via the library's contact form with the subject "Digital Kids" or through Instagram @stabigram. The library's address is Hathumarstraße 7, and its location can be viewed on a map.

The MatataLab robot is controlled using programming blocks and a programming board. By learning to program this robot, children will not only gain coding skills but also foster creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a playful environment.
