The school year in Schleswig-Holstein has concluded, and students are celebrating their achievements after a year of hard work. Over 31,000 students have completed their final exams, with 157 students achieving their certificates at gymnasiums and 15 at comprehensive schools.

The certificates received by the students are a testament to their accomplishments. Among these certificates are the First General School Leaving Certificate, the Intermediate School Leaving Certificate, and the coveted Abitur. A total of 10,637 students in Schleswig-Holstein have passed their Abitur.

The students at gymnasiums and comprehensive schools performed better in mathematics and German this year compared to the previous school year. The average grade at gymnasiums was 2.37, and at comprehensive schools, it was 2.61, both slightly better than last year's values. However, they performed slightly worse in English compared to the school year 2023/24.

Minister of Education Dorit Stenke (CDU) congratulated the students on their achievements. She highlighted that the certificates received by the students are not just a piece of paper but a sign that they can overcome challenges and reach their goals.

Among the top performers, 172 graduates of public schools achieved the top grade of 1.0. The exams and ceremonies took place at various educational institutions in Schleswig-Holstein, with the exams held at public schools, vocational training institutions, and private alternative schools.
