Paving the Way Ahead: Scheduled Training on September 18th
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the third edition of the "Road to Future - Next Stop Apprenticeship" event will take place in Essen, Germany. The event will take place from 12 to 6 pm, with a special press conference scheduled from 4 to 4:30 pm at "Kita-Krablerstraße" (Krablerstr. 268, 45326 Essen).
This career orientation format offers young people hands-on activities, real career insights, and conversations with apprentices and trainers. The event is organised by the Apprenticeship Consensus Essen, a cooperation of the Youth Employment Agency, the DGB Region MEO, the NRW Regional Agency MEO, the IHK to Essen, and the Essen Chamber of Crafts, in collaboration with "our city portal" and several other organisations.
Mayor Thomas Kufen will be present at the press conference, and further information on participation, registration, and the companies involved can be found at www.roadtofuture.de.
Young people can visit up to three companies of their choice during different time slots throughout the city. Participating companies include Alfried Krupp Hospital, Allbau, AWO Essen, Evonik, Metallgestaltung Stratmann, Open Grid Europe, Ruhrbahn, our city portal, Sutter Dialog, and TRIMET Aluminium. Companies from the fields of technology, crafts, administration, health, and social services are taking part in the event.
The online platform allows students to create individual tours tailored to their interests, with fixed appointments available in advance. The concept focuses on immediate experience through hands-on offers and direct encounters.
For questions, please contact Bodo Kalveram at 0155 61619889. What started in 2023 with nine training companies has since become a fixed part of local career orientation. The search results do not provide the names of the training companies that participated in the "Road to Future - Nachwuchsstellen" event in 2023.
The press is invited to report on the event on September 18, 2025. Press contact information is available at www.our website/presse.
