The aim of this competition is to foster learning success among children by leading them to learning through play and making the learning process smoother for them. Creative and innovative concepts that contribute to school development and can be easily implemented in daily school life are considered significant decision criteria.
Over the past 15 years, an impressive 297 schools in Saxony have already won educational games and toys, with a total of 3,415 primary schools nationwide participating. The "Play Makes School" initiative was launched in 2007 by the association "More Time for Children" alongside the ZNL Transfer Center for Neuroscience and Learning.
In essence, play-based learning harnesses the powerful role of play in children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills, it enhances learning experiences, encourages social and emotional skill development, boosts cognitive development, and augments physical development. Schools often incorporate games, simulations, and hands-on projects into their curricula to mix enjoyment with specific learning objectives, making learning an engaging and interactive experience.
So, if you're looking to get creative, smarter, and even stand a chance to win some cool games and toys for your students – this is the competition for you! Just make sure your application is in before June 23!
