Recruiting Agency Adecco Group Declares Olympic Gold Medalist Fabian Cancellara as the Honorary Father of Their High-Profile WIN4Youth Programme
The Adecco Group, a leading workforce solutions provider and Fortune Global 500 company, has launched its eighth edition of the Win4Youth programme. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, the company employs over 33,000 FTE employees and operates in around 5,100 branches across 60 countries.
Win4Youth is a global initiative that encourages employees, associates, and clients to engage in sports activities, converting every kilometre swum, cycled, or run into donations for charitable foundations. The primary objective of Win4Youth is to support youth development by funding educational and well-being projects for young people worldwide.
This year, the programme has expanded to involve participants from more than 60 countries, including France, represented by EPIDE (Etablissement pour l'insertion dans l'emploi), and Finland, supported by The Children and Youth Foundation (CYF). The Win4Youth initiative aims to achieve a record 4.3 million kilometres in 2017.
Fabian Cancellara, a former Swiss cyclist and double Olympic gold medallist, serves as the 'godfather' of Win4Youth 2017. Cancellara is honoured to be associated with the programme and encourages all involved to participate and give their best. He will participate in several Win4Youth events, including the grand finale, the Gavà Triathlon close to Sitges, Spain in September 2017.
The six foundations supported by Win4Youth 2017 include Ashinaga The Tohoku Rainbow Project (Japan), Graeme Dingle Foundation Career Navigator program (New Zealand), Macmillan Cancer Support Working through cancer Programme (UK), Take Stock in Children (North America), and two other foundations whose details are not provided. These foundations share a common focus on education, employability, and youth empowerment.
Calvern Tan, an Adecco employee, serves as an ambassador for the programme, promoting its values and objectives. Win4Youth is part of Adecco's broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and creating opportunities for young people globally.
