Samsung Launches Solve for Tomorrow Competition in 2025
The Samsung SG60 Challenge, also known as the Solve for Tomorrow 2025, has been launched in Singapore to celebrate SG60 and encourage secondary school students to build a secure and sustainable future through STEM-driven innovation.
Eligibility
The competition is open to full-time students aged 12 to 18 years old, enrolled in a secondary school in Singapore. Eligible schools include government schools, government-aided schools, independent schools, specialized independent schools, specialized schools, special education schools, and IP secondary schools with 6-year IP programs.
Key Themes
Participants are invited to develop ideas around four key societal issues: Environmental Sustainability, Sport, Health and Technology, Inclusivity and Social Harmony, and Digital Readiness and Security.
Prizes
The Samsung SG60 Challenge offers total prizes of up to S$32,000. The first prize winning team will receive S$10,000 worth of Samsung products, S$7,000 cash prize, and a trip to Samsung's headquarters and innovation facilities in South Korea. The second prize includes S$6,000 worth of Samsung products and S$4,000 cash prize, while the third prize includes S$3,000 worth of Samsung products and S$2,000 cash prize.
Deadline for Submissions
The submission period is from 1st July to 31st August 2025. Teams submitting entries by 31st July 2025 have an additional standing, possibly early-bird consideration or eligibility for certain awards.
