Scholarly Accolades - August 2024
In a recent announcement, Hudson Valley Community College has recognised an impressive group of students for their academic achievements during the Summer 2024 term. The students, who hail from various degree programmes, have been honoured for their hard work and talent.
Bianca Roncarati, a student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, has earned a place on both the President's List and the Honor Roll with Distinction. Her exceptional academic performance, marked by a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0, and the absence of any grades lower than a C, has secured her these prestigious distinctions.
Joining Bianca on the President's List is Stefanos Dardanos, also a student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. The criteria for the President's List, as outlined by the Academic Excellence program, require full-time students to maintain a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0, while part-time students must have a GPA of the same standard and complete at least six credits successfully.
The Honor Roll, too, has seen several deserving students receive recognition. Kelly Serio, James Minckler, Megan Chiles, Madeline Kelly, Zachari Haselow, and Sophia Brink have all been honoured for their achievements in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, Undergraduate Certificate in Digital Media, and Associate of Occupational Studies in Illustration.
In the field of Digital Media, Jessica Kozakiewicz and Bryson Hargraves have also made their mark, while Jada Broome and Robert Fogle have excelled in the Associate of Occupational Studies in Illustration. Meanwhile, Zachari Haselow has also demonstrated his skills in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
Becky Allen and Stefanos Dardanos, both students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, have also been recognised on the Honor Roll.
Dr. Meryl P. Epstein, Dean of Academic Affairs, congratulated the honor roll recipients on their accomplishments, expressing her pride in their hard work and talent. The students will receive an official letter of recognition and a resume-worthy honor for their achievements.
The Academic Excellence program recognises students in Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, and Undergraduate Certificate programmes. While the specific criteria for the "Honor Roll with Distinction" and "Honor Roll" distinctions remain unspecified in the available information, the program offers three levels of recognition: Honor Roll, Honor Roll with Distinction, and the President's List.
The Summer 2024 term concluded on August 9th, and these honours serve as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students at Hudson Valley Community College.
Bianca Roncarati and Stefanos Dardanos, both students in the graphic design field, have been honored on the President's List and the Honor Roll with Distinction respectively, showcasing their exceptional talent in graphic design and their commitment to learning within the education-and-self-development focus of personal-growth through academic achievements.
