In a significant move to streamline the public hiring process, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will be conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET) on July 26 and 27, 2025. The exam, aimed at filling Group C (third class) positions, will be held at 1,338 centers across Haryana, with over 14,000 police personnel ensuring its smooth conduct.

Exam Details

The CET consists of two main sections: Reasoning, General Awareness, Science, Math, Computer, and Language (Hindi and English) with 70 questions, and Haryana-based General Awareness with 30 questions, totaling 100 questions worth 100 marks. The exam is an offline, OMR-based test with a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The question paper is bilingual, offered in both Hindi and English.

The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the morning shift from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM and the evening shift from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM. Approximately 13.7 lakh candidates have applied for the Haryana CET Group C posts.

Additional Information

The complete details about the exam city and centers were released along with the admit cards on July 17, 2025. While specific details about police deployment are not mentioned, large-scale exams typically have security measures in place to ensure the exam's smooth conduct.

School closure on July 26, 2025, was announced due to the CET. It is not uncommon for large-scale exams to require the use of educational institutions as exam centers, potentially leading to school closures.

Special Arrangements

Married women, in light of the Teej festival, will be allowed to wear mangalsutra and other cultural symbols during the CET. Married women and Amritdhari Sikhs must arrive at the exam locations early to allow for extra inspections by security personnel. Amritdhari Sikh candidates will be permitted to wear religious symbols like kirpans, kara, etc. during the CET.

Stay Informed

Parents and guardians are requested to ensure children avoid examination centres unless they are appearing in the CET. Students and parents are advised to stay updated through official school communication and local administration notices.
