**Stein Middle School Students Shine in Cyberbullying Prevention Project**

In a commendable display of commitment and creativity, two seventh-grade classes at Stein Middle School have been working tirelessly since March 2025 on a project aimed at preventing cyberbullying. The project, which has received support from the city of Stein and the "Alliance Against Cyberbullying e.V." association, has been a learning experience for all involved, particularly for the first mayor, Kurt Kroemer.

Heike Jutzi, who led the project, guided the students in creating explanatory videos, info stands, and podcasts to raise awareness of the risks associated with cyberbullying. The students' work addressed legal questions, practical tips for emergency situations, and current topics like artificial intelligence and deepfakes.

Their efforts did not go unnoticed. Uli Bauer, the youth representative of the city of Stein, praised the students for their commitment and creativity. In addition to recognising the quality of the students' contributions, Uli Bauer also commended the support of the teachers who accompanied the project.

In his congratulatory message, Uli Bauer conveyed the sentiments of the first mayor, Kurt Kroemer, who was made aware of cyberbullying through the students' project. Uli Bauer's praise was explicit, focusing on the students' commitment, creativity, and the quality of their contributions.

As part of the project, the students also conducted a self-conducted survey on media usage behaviour among students from grades five to eight. Workshops and further training were organised to help students and teachers understand and respond to cyberbullying. The results of their work were displayed at a parents' evening.

Cyberbullying is a significant issue that affects many individuals, particularly youth. Projects aimed at preventing cyberbullying often focus on developing socio-emotional skills, such as empathy, self-regulation, and conflict resolution, to help individuals understand and manage online interactions better.
