Registration is now open for the 13th edition of the Children's City, an annual experiential learning game designed for children in grades 4, 5, and 6. This year's event, titled "A journey around the world", will take place at the Deegfeld School Center in Nordhorn, Germany during the autumn holidays in 2025.

Organised by the youth department of the city administration of Nordhorn, the Children's City offers an immersive experience where children will design, build, and manage their own city. Over the course of four days, from Tuesday, October 14 to Friday, October 17, participants will assume roles such as mayor, city council members, and business owners.

The city will be a bustling hub, complete with a city administration, post office, bank, kiosk, craft businesses, funfair, newspaper, and more. The children will work together to create a functioning city, learning valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving along the way.

The event will be supervised by employees of the city of Nordhorn from 10 am to 5 pm each day. On Friday, October 17, a city festival will be held for parents, siblings, and all interested parties from 3 pm.

The participation fee for the Children's City is 90 euros, inclusive of catering. Discounts are available through vouchers from the Education and Participation Package and the NOH Pass.

Registration for the Children's City is open online until Thursday, September 25, 2025. For more information and registration, contact Hartwig Hesselink from the Youth Department of the city of Nordhorn.
