The Divine Purpose and the Seven Radiations: A Spiritual Guide

Defining one's life purpose: a journey to self-discovery

Life purpose plays a significant role in a satisfying, harmonious life. We all seem to crave something, even if it's hidden or distorted in some people. Life purpose gets us out of bed in the morning, defines our sense of self-worth, and makes the divine real. Yet, an imbalance can leave us desperate and unhappy. So, what is the purpose of the soul, where does it come from, and how can we attune it for a successful, fulfilling life? Let's crack that cosmic code...

The Great Origin Story

From the Openhand viewpoint, everything sprang from the great void before time existed. Pure presence, the absolute, God, separated into two flows of consciousness. One expanded to a greater sense of separation, and the other drew inwards to a greater sense of unity. We call these two flows "Separation Consciousness" and "Unity Consciousness."

This underlying dynamic created the entirety of universal form. Separation Consciousness flowed outwards, thinning until Unity pulled it back inwards, causing condensation into form. Thus, materiality such as gases, liquids, and solids happened. Gravitational forces formed planets, solar systems, and galaxies. And within that form, life evolved as we know it today.

Looking at it in a broad view, there doesn't seem to be a premeditated purpose. What potentially created the entire system is undetermined. So, while life spontaneously came into being, a feeling of purpose surfaced. Why is that?

A Longing for the Source

Purpose stems from the pull to return to the source of life itself. Separation Consciousness morphs into countless forms, but each one is infused with the desire for increased unity. This is the soul within us—an inherent divinity of purpose, direction, and destiny that fulfills our deepest desires and needs.

This interplay between the multitude of separated forms and a yearning for unity defines every human experience, both on a universal scale and in our daily lives. Every choice we make falls under this simple, underlying dynamic.

In our lives, it's witnessed in the inner struggle to overcome our personality distortions that lead us to choices that aren't in harmony with our soul. Each distortion hides a hidden gift, and to find this internal realignment, we must recognize our internal contradictions and apply ourselves with commitment, perseverance, and unflinching honesty to always express our highest truth. Our soul, the divine sense of purpose, direction, and destiny—when we align with it—fulfills all of our true desires and needs.

The Path of Enlightenment

Regardless of the distortions we face, success in life means aligning with the universal flow, allowing it to course unhindered through you, thereby inspiring unbridled self-expression. As ego constraints and limitations are confronted and peeled away, there is a natural sense of harmony with the higher sense of unity and purpose.

On the journey of enlightenment, our focus is on the natural gifts of beingness hidden within thought, emotion, and choice. Distortions cause us to express our separation from unity consciousness, while expressing our gifts reunites us with the "absolute." It's a choice between control and limitation or complete freedom of authentic expression. Opting for our highest truth allows the soul to once more shine forth, leading to liberation.

The Seven Rays of Divine Urge

Recognizing the character of the soul can aid our journey through life, fostering inner peace, contentment, harmony, and simple joy. In our own spiritual exploration, my experiences and those of others have revealed seven primary character traits or rays of our soul:

Purposeful creative will: The impulse to create. It's the manifestation of the divine masculine principle throughout the cosmos, the inner will to find and create a higher level of harmony within ourselves and with others.
Surrendering unconditional love: The impulse of unconditional love for life. It's the manifestation of the divinely feminine principle of surrendered acceptance throughout the cosmos. It's empathic compassion that willingly embraces imperfection within all sentient life and situations.
Interpreting authentic reality: The ability to understand and interpret the authentic experiences of life in a straightforward way. It delivers higher abstract wisdom in a format that is relatable and understandable.
Harmonizing through right resolution: The capacity for finding solutions that respect the rights and needs of all involved parties. It provides balanced discernment to break apart lower harmonies and create more equitable, higher ones.
Realizing abstract higher wisdom: The ability to access higher-level wisdom and integrate it into our lives. This knowledge is abstract and all-encompassing, more sensed than rationalized. It helps us tap into the universal flow for greater understanding and co-creative exploration.
Yearning self-expression: The innate drive to manifest, unfold, and express our authentic selves. It generates commitment and devotion to our path.
Shaping synchronistic magic: The capacity to catalyze synchronistic magic through our actions. This leads to the maximum benefit and upliftment for all in the surrounding environment.

By aligning with these divine impulses, we illuminate the distortions and liberate our souls to fully express their boundless potential. The journey to self-discovery is a dance with the divine, where genuine fulfillment is found.

The separation of consciousness in the grand cosmic code birthed two flows: Separation Consciousness and Unity Consciousness, which created the entire universe. Our longing for unity within this Separation Consciousness is the soul's inherent pull to return to its source, its purpose, direction, and destiny.
