Thirty-seven students in Chitwan District achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA in the annual School Leaving Exam (SES) scoring the highest academic marks.

In the region of Chitwan, 37 out of 10,730 students in the SEE examination achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2081. This marked a significant increase in the pass rate which went up from 55% to 73.5% compared to the previous year.

In the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2081, Chitwan district has witnessed a remarkable increase in students scoring a 4.0 GPA, with 37 students achieving this top score. This marks a significant jump from last year when only 16 students managed to secure this grade.

A total of 2,055 students across Nepal scored between 3.6 and 4.0 GPA, indicating a general trend of higher achievement in this exam cycle. The SEE results show a strong academic performance, with 7,887 students passing the exam in Chitwan this year, raising the district's pass rate to 73.5%.

The highest number of students (7) who achieved a 4.0 GPA are from Narayani Model Secondary School. However, the exact reasons for this increase in top scores in Chitwan are not explicitly detailed. It is speculated that improvements in teaching quality, student motivation, and assessment methods may have contributed to this trend, although no official statement has been released to confirm this.

A total of 2,198 students scored between 2.8 and 3.2 GPA, while 2,338 students scored between 3.2 and 3.6 GPA. On the other hand, 1,173 students scored between 2.4 and 2.8 GPA, and only 1 student scored between 1.6 and 2.0 GPA. A total of 84 students passed from the technical stream, but no pass rate for the technical stream was provided.

It is worth noting that all 37 students who secured 4.0 GPA are from the general stream. The Education Development and Coordination Unit in Chitwan is scheduled to publish the full results with analysis on Saturday evening. Ramesh Adhikari, Head of the Examination Section at the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Chitwan, has confirmed the information.

The increase in awareness and understanding of the 4 GPA system in Chitwan, as highlighted by TikTok sources, might also have motivated students to aim higher. Individual stories of students achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA despite challenging circumstances could have inspired broader academic effort.

Despite the positive results, 2,843 students were unable to receive a graded result. Further investigation and analysis are needed to fully understand the factors contributing to the increase in top scores in Chitwan and to address the challenges faced by students who were unable to pass the exam.
