Park University Appoints Jayme Uden as New Chief Human Resources Officer

Jayme Uden, a seasoned education professional with over a decade of service at Park University, has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at the institution. Effective March 18, 2024, Uden will oversee and lead human resources strategies at Park University.

Uden's extensive experience at Park University spans over 13 years, having served in various student life positions since July 2011. Prior to his new role, he had served as the associate vice president and dean of students since December 2016.

Before joining Park University, Uden held positions at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. From 2006 to 2011, he served as an assistant director for residence life at the University of Kansas. Before that, he was a residence life coordinator at Kansas State University from 2003 to 2006.

Uden's academic credentials are impressive, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Kansas, a Master of Education degree in higher education from Iowa State University, and a Doctor of Education degree in higher education from the University of Kansas.

In his new role, Uden will be responsible for a wide range of human resources responsibilities, including talent management, employee relations, training and development, performance improvement, compensation and benefits, organizational development, HR information systems, and regulatory compliance.

Uden's commitment to student affairs extends beyond Park University. He has been a past chair of the Missouri Student Affairs Council and a past board member of the Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center. He was also a member of the Northland (Kansas City, Mo.) Regional Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Northland class of 2013-14.

In addition to his new role as CHRO, Uden will also serve as the University's Title IX officer. His dedication to creating a safe and inclusive environment for students is evident in his previous roles, where he has demonstrated a commitment to student welfare and success.

As Park University continues to grow and evolve, Uden's leadership and expertise in student affairs and human resources will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the institution's future.

In his new role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Park University, Jayme Uden will focus on career development by overseeing talent management and training and development initiatives. His education-and-self-development background, including his Doctor of Education degree in higher education from the University of Kansas, will aid in his efforts to improve employee relations and organizational development.
