Unveiled: School Welcomes Parents and Pupils for a Fresh Start

The construction project of the new school building on Fuggerstraße is progressing well, as evidenced by a recent inspection round. Mayor Alexander, along with Johannes Doll (Referent for Construction and Environment), Gerhard Mayer (head of the department for Building Management), Edith Zehntner (project leader), Eva Strasser (head of the School Administration Office), and Eva Geppert from the Realschule's leadership team, inspected the current status of the construction.

The inspection tour included a thorough examination of the school kitchen, auditorium, connecting corridors on the ground floor, specialized rooms, classrooms, administrative rooms, and even rooms on the first floor of the new three-story, wing-shaped structure. Notably, furniture was found in the school kitchen during the inspection.

The new school building offers an optimal learning environment with many architectural highlights, making it an exciting prospect for the students who will soon call it their new home. Construction work is well underway, and the State Realschule is expected to move to the new building on Fuggerstraße in a few months.

During the inspection, school officials, construction managers, and local government representatives discussed detailed information about the transition to the Realschule, including the pedagogical concept, general planned room usage, the upcoming move, and even parking spaces and bike racks.

For those interested in transitioning to the Realschule, registration and pre-registration begin on Monday, May 5th. More information about the transition can be found on the school website. The inspection was conducted during a school event on the sidelines, providing a unique opportunity for all parties involved to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project's progress.
