UP Law Dominates 2022 Bar Exam, Dayday Tops With 88.8083%
The 2022 Bar Examination results are in, with Czar Matthew Gerard Dayday from the University of the Philippines College of Law (UP) topping the list with an impressive score of 88.8083%. Erickson Mariñas, also from UP, closely followed with 88.7666%.
UP College of Law dominated the topnotchers, securing the highest number among all law schools. Ateneo de Manila University Law School led the pack among the top 30 passers, excluding UP. Overall, 3,992 out of 9,183 examinees passed, resulting in a 43.47% passing rate.
San Beda University achieved the highest interest rate among first-time takers with over 100 candidates, at 97.58%. Ateneo de Manila University had the highest rate among all candidates with over 100 candidates, at 96.74%. Notably, Ateneo de Davao University led among first-time takers with 51 to 100 candidates, with a 96.55% rate. Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of Asia and the Pacific School of Law and Governance both achieved a perfect 100% passing rate among first-time takers with fewer than 50 candidates.
The Supreme Court acknowledged the top 30 passers, with UP and Ateneo de Manila University Law School emerging as the most successful law schools in the 2022 Bar Examinations.
