Uttara University Honours Dedicated Educators on World Teachers' Day
Uttara University marked World Teachers' Day with a special seminar and award ceremony, honouring dedicated educators. The event, supported by the offices of brand and communication, and public relations, saw Vice-chancellor Professor Eaysmin Ara Lekha praise teachers as 'architects of humanity'.
Ten faculty members received special honorary crest awards for their two decades of service. The recipients were Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahbubur Rahman, Prof. Dr. Shamima Akhter, Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmul Haque, Prof. Dr. Shamin Akhter, Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, Dr. Tania Afrin, Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, and Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman. The vice-chancellor highlighted the university's success, resting on teachers' dedication and efforts.
Two senior faculty members shared their reflections on the teaching profession, offering insights into their experiences and the impact of their work on students' lives. The event was attended by deans, department chairpersons, professors, teachers, the registrar, and administrative officials. A raffle draw was held, with 10 teachers receiving additional prizes.
Uttara University honoured 10 faculty members for their two decades of service, recognising their significant contributions to the institution and its students. The event celebrated the teaching profession and the university's commitment to recognising and rewarding dedicated educators.
